This Can't Possibly Be MY Kid

Truth be told, I was a pretty good athlete growing up. I played softball - the real deal - not T-ball, from Kindergarten through high school. I also played tennis and soccer. My sisters were all good athletes too. My brothers ... well, good, but not as good as their sisters :-). (I'll regret saying this as my youngest brother reads my blog). Being the stellar athlete that I am was, I thought for sure my kids would follow suit. After all, my nieces and nephews are all good athletes (and therefore they must take after my side of the family - no question). So you tell me .... can this possibly be MY kid?





I, on the other hand, took my sports very seriously when I was Eric's age.

    Can I just say I was watching this why I was in Bio class because I bring my lap top with me and I wasn't able to breathe because I was laughing so hard, earning me some weird looks... but it would worth it. And that was without the sound, with the sound added it's that much better!

    I LOVE that picture of you! Clearly softball was a serious thing for you I can only imagine the pain of not being able to get your son to even put the glove on. It IS darn funny though. At least you get a good video op out of the deal.

    Same here Ann, I loved sports as a kid. I was better at baseball than most of the boys (although girls were not allowed to play, so had to settle for softball). When I found out I was having twin sons, I thought I'd finally be able to get involved in little league. I'd be coaching, not sitting in the stands. Rich planned for the NFL. Oh well.

    That video of Eric actually makes me feel better. Even if the twins had not been preemies, they might still not be very athletic;-) Eric has so many gifts, he doesn't need baseball anyway:-)
