A Day of Hiking

My nephew MichaelYesterday a group of us went hiking on a very popular valley trail - Squaw Peak (located right in the middle of Phoenix). It's a tough 1 mile hike to the top of the "mountain" - something I could do with relative ease a few years ago. It about killed me this time around! Today is our last day together, as everyone heads home tomorrow. It's been fun ... well, except for the flu part -- the flu count is now up to 10! (so far, Jack has avoided it).

My parents are in Phoenix and I didn't know about this trail. Will have to check it out next time I'm in town. Looks like a great view:-)
