On a positive note

While I recognize that it's okay to share all my feelings, I prefer to move past the negative as quickly as possible. Negativity is toxic. I try to avoid toxic people and the last thing I want is to become one of those people I'd want to avoid!

So, on a positive note, I thought I'd share some of the good things in life right now:

~Mary is on Spring Break this week which means one less hour of driving in the morning (yippee!)

~ We've made it all the way to April and Jack has not had one single respiratory illness the entire winter.

~ Jack hasn't had to see his pulmonologist since last June or his pediatrician since last May (remarkable!)

~ Everyone who has seen Jack lately raves about how GOOD he looks!

~ In a few weeks I will be enjoying a couple of days in Las Vegas with some of my real cyber-friends.

~ In a month I will be going to New York for my sister's graduation from Columbia (all by myself).

~ It's no longer dark when I leave the office in the evening so I've been able to enjoy beautiful sunsets on my drive home.

I'm sure there is much more I can add to this list, but I need to get to work ;-)

Have a wonderful day my friends!

Go, Jack! Maybe Nathan needs some of Jack's healthy vibes. I hope your trips are fun and relaxing. I like the picture of Jack at the mall--he is a man after my own heart! Have a great day!

Hi Ann -

So glad to be catching up again with your blog. I just watched the "Dash" video...how powerful and of course it made me think of little Annie. It's so good to have reminders like that. And I appreciate your positive thinking entry. Scott has really been trying to be more positive lately and has noted the difference it's making with the people around him. It truly is infectious!

I recently saw on Oprah a minister who has started a new "campaign". He is giving out these purple bracelets for people to wear as a "reminder" to not complain. The goal is to go some 21 days in a row without complaining and if you mess up then you put the band on your other wrist and start all over. He said 21 days, because it takes about that long for a person to either change or create a habit. I think that goes along with your positive thinking. I should really give it a try. I think about the late nights when I'm up with Aaron and I just wish he'd sleep through the night (actually, he did sleep til 5:30 a.m. last night!), but at the same time...I need to THANK GOD that he's here, in our life! (He really is a good baby though!)

Have a great day! Hugs to Everyone!
