The Right Idea

Jack has the right idea -- put the headphones on, blast the iPod and block out the rest of the world. Boy, could I use just one day to escape from it all. Just one day, I'd really be okay with just ONE day!

This afternoon we met with my mom's radiation oncologist (who incidently looks all of 12 years old) to discuss her course of treatment and I'm sending the necessary consent to Columbia University tomorrow.

Enough said.

The problem with the one day thing is, once you get that one day, you suddenly realize what you're missing. Which makes it all that much harder to put the headphones down and trudge back in!

I come looking in after you a couple times a day, see if there's anything new to report. Think about you ten times that. Started about half a dozen emails to you only to get interrupted by my insane and wildly out of control client.

In other words, I'm thinkin' about'cha...

I like Jack's thinking! Please sign me up. I hope you get some answers soon so your mom can start her course of treatment. We think about you often.

That is a sweet pic. Jack looks very content.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Tess

I've got an iPod and the only time I get the chance to use it is at the gym (which isn't often enough!).

Good luck with the 'young' oncologist. haven't you noticed, Ann - everyone looks about 12 these days...

sending lots of good vibes across the pond.

I've been trying and trying to get Eric to use head phones. This would be great for blocking out - or at least muffling - loud noises, which I think would make bringing him out easier. But so far, not much progress. He just takes them off.

I'm with Julie on the 12 year olds. I was at the kids middle school recently and honestly could not pick out some of the teachers from the kids...
