Kind of Cool

It's a little known fact that Mark co-wrote a children's book called "Math Play" which was published back in 1997. It's not made the New York Times list of top sellers nor has it made us rich, but it is kind of cool to have a book published (I'm just guessing since I have never had a book published). Unexpectedly, Mark received a new and improved copy of his book from the publisher this week and much to our surprise, the book has been translated and published in CHINESE! How cool is that? Just think of all the royalties!

On the home front, we are enjoying a lazy Saturday and gearing up for birthday parties tomorrow. We will be celebrating Eric and Mary's birthdays. It's always fun to get together with family and something I really missed during the years we lived in St. Louis.

Speaking of which, here are a few more pictures from our visit to St. Louis.

Happy Saturday!

Fascinating, Ann! I had no idea your husband was a children's math connoisseur! I would LOVE to pick up a copy because my new job (next fall) is to be a math interventionist for a K-5 school. I am always looking for new ideas.

You learn something new about people everyday (although if I were on Facebook I'd probably already know that...j/k) :P

Happy belated birthday to Eric and pre-birthday to Ms. Mary.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Woo, royalties!! Loved the pics though I have to say I'm relieved that I don't have a child who wants to look for bugs! Have a great birthday party!

That's very cool! Congrats to Mark and Happy birthday Eric and Mary.

Eric does not look very happy in the cold, but willing to suffer a bit in the hopes of finding bugs!

I just reserved the book at our library-yes, the Columbus metro system has 12 copies of it! Evan loves math so I thought it would be fun to show him the book that Eric's dad wrote. :)
